TYRIAN PRINCESS
Designed by Elias Feghaly

Inspired by the elegance of Lebanese royalty from the 1800s and the legendary Tyrian Purple of the ancient Phoenicians, the Tyrian Princess gown is a celebration of heritage, resilience, and feminine power.
Tyrian Purple was once the most valuable color in the world, extracted from the murex shell along the Mediterranean coast of present-day Lebanon. Reserved for queens, emperors, and nobility, it became a symbol of prestige, wisdom, and influence. This gown reimagines that legacy through a modern couture lens.
The design consists of four distinct elements:
✨ The Gown
A fitted floor-length silhouette crafted in shimmering gold lace and sequined fabric. The shape echoes the grace and strength of a royal figure while celebrating the beauty of the feminine form.
✨ The Detachable Overskirt
A dramatic Tyrian Purple overskirt wraps around the waist and opens like royal wings as the wearer moves. Fully removable, it transforms the look from regal ceremony to elegant evening gown.
✨ The Glove Sleeves
Inspired by historical Lebanese and Middle Eastern court fashion, the sleeves are worn separately from the bodice like long couture gloves. Their sculptural volume adds movement, drama, and a sense of theatrical storytelling.
✨ The Crown & Veil Headpiece
A towering crown-inspired headpiece pays homage to the ancient Phoenician and Levantine traditions of ceremonial dress. Draped in flowing purple fabric, it evokes royalty, spirituality, and the enduring spirit of a people who have rebuilt themselves throughout history.
The Tyrian Princess was created for KMAC Couture and serves as a tribute to Lebanon's artistic legacy, the strength of women, and the enduring power of culture passed from one generation to the next.
