In Memory of Valentino Garavani (1932–2025)

Today, the world of fashion pauses in reverence.

Valentino Garavani has passed at 93, and with him goes not just a designer, but an entire feeling. A way of dreaming. A language of beauty spoken in silk, tulle, feathers, and light.

When I think of Valentino, I think of texture and poofiness—of volume that doesn’t overwhelm, but uplifts. His gowns didn’t just dress a woman; they carried her. They wrapped her in confidence, in romance, in a sense that she had stepped straight out of a fairy tale and into her own power.

Valentino taught me that luxury is emotion. That elegance can be bold. That glamour can be soft. That a woman can feel beautiful, powerful, graceful, and enchanting all at once—simply by how fabric moves around her body.

His work always felt like a modern princess story—not delicate in a fragile way, but strong in its beauty. Grand silhouettes, dramatic volume, and impeccable craftsmanship created moments that stopped time. You didn’t just see a Valentino gown—you felt it.

As a designer and creator, his vision deeply shaped how I see form, movement, and storytelling through fashion. He reminded us that clothing is not just utility—it is poetry in motion.

At KULLI Atelier, I hold this inspiration close. I believe, as Valentino showed us, that we build beauty together—through collaboration, through muses, through connection. There is so much beauty in this world when we choose to create with intention, generosity, and love.

I am endlessly grateful to continue creating, collaborating, and dreaming with the incredible muses who walk through our doors. To do this work—here, at KULLI Atelier at Mellwood Arts Center—is a privilege I never take lightly.

Thank you, Valentino, for teaching us that fashion can be a fairytale—and that elegance is timeless.

May today be filled with beauty, reflection, and gratitude, in memory of an extraordinary designer. ✨
